By far among the best Ethiopian food I've had in quite a while! I ordered the beef tibs with misir wot (spicy red lentils), fosolia (green beans and carrots), and key sir (beets). Everything was so distinct in flavor, and when combined in one bite with the room temperature injera, I was seriously blown away. Although somewhat tough, the tibs were very juicy and flavorful. The key sir was not what I was expecting - it was at a colder temperature and had a bite to it; it was very tasty, though, and I appreciated the twist to a classic Ethiopian dish!
One of the servers gave me a cup of Ethiopian tea; that was the best tea I've ever had in my life. I'm not sure what the exact flavor was, but I believe it was some sort of honey tea. I had to stop myself from drinking 3 whole cups!
Luckily, I came during buffet hours. The food was so amazing that I took some to go as part of the buffet.
The staff were so friendly and caring, and very attentive. I honestly felt like I was at home in this quaint little Ethiopian restaurant. Overall, I had an unforgettable experience - the food was delicious, the staff were amazing, and everything was so affordable! If you're in the Memphis area, make sure to stop by Abyssinia Ethiopian Restaurant! -

Just got home and sat down to what used to be my favorite Ethiopian Restaurant, and the food was super bland and cold. The display used to be nice with the injera topped with vegetables, but not this time. This will definitely be my last time coming to this establishment.
The lady tried to get me to create my own plate, which I have never been told to do before. This experience is definitely a 2 thumbs down! -

Food was delicious! We had the tea, chicken, lamb, beef, and salmon with all the veggie sides. All of the food was very well seasoned and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. We finished the meal with coffee, which was some of the smoothest coffee I've ever had. For all of the meat, sides, coffee, and tea for 4 our bill was roughly $60, which we felt was very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!

Very friendly staff and unbelievably delicious food. Ordered a beef dish and a mixed vegetables dish as per the owner's recommendation. My wife and I were blown away by the taste. We ordered for two people, we got enough food to feed a small crowd. Highly recommend.

The food is delicious here. A wide selection of vegetable dishes and meat dishes will have something for everyone. We love to eat Ethiopian style, all from the same serving platter. The bread, injera, is so yummy and different we love it. We would recommend this place to anyone.
